Radon Screening

Radon gas is colorless, odorless, and occurs naturally in the environment, primarily being released from underground. It is also a health risk for you and your family. According to the EPA, Radon is the number one cause of lung cancer among non-smokers in the US, and is the second overall leading cause of lung cancer. In 2005 the Surgeon General released an advisory on the health risks of radon. They further recommend that if you are buying or selling a home you should have it tested for radon. The Oregon Health Authority recommends that all homes be tested for radon, regardless of the risk level assigned to its geographic location.

Each home should be individually tested as concentration levels can vary even between homes in the same neighborhood. Just because your neighbor’s home tested low for radon gas, doesn’t mean that yours will. At 3 Little Pigs Home Inspections, we can give you the proper information you need when it comes to radon testing. Tests run between two and seven days under “closed home” conditions. Schedule your radon inspection today, either in conjunction with a general home inspection, or as a stand-alone service.

Summary of what’s included:

  • A 72-hour continuous monitor radon screening.

  • A detailed report with hourly metrics.

  • 24-hour turn around on your radon report.

Sewer Scope

Did you know that in most jurisdictions the home owner is responsible for maintaining the sewer pipe between the house and the city line? A broken, cracked, or clogged sewer pipe can cost many thousands of dollars to repair, and you as the buyer may inherit those costs when you purchase a home. A sewer scope can help identify possible issues and save you both the cost and headache of dealing with those repairs before you make a purchase. At 3 Little Pigs Home Inspections we are certified through InterNACHI in sewer scope inspections, so you can be sure you’re getting the most accurate and up to date information so you can make the best decision possible. We use high grade equipment to perform all our sewer scopes, and our reports come to you in both video and written formats.

Summary of what’s included:

  • A thorough sewer scope of your sewer line from the home to the city tap.

  • Video and audio recording of the entire process.

  • Written report with any issues and recommendation clearly spelled out.

  • 24-hour turn around on all our reports.
